Useless Trivia
Sherlock Holmes NEVER said, "Elementary, my dear Watson." For that matter, Sherlock Holmes never existed in the first place. But the address where he supposedly lived, 221B Baker Street, still gets a lot of fan mail.

Doc Prichard, I apologize. I went back and did see a note about my dad. Thanks. He was the "go-to-guy" for newspaper delivery. And being that I was a newspaperboy for over 6 years (C-37) I knew that I had better have a perfect service record, or I'd lose my job. Thanks to my dad, who drove me around my route on many rainy mornings, I never had a "miss" in those 6 years. He was a great guy. I loved reading about all you guys, and I recall that Dad loved being a member of the Lions Club. We grew up with the Veaches, the Pauly's, the Emmertons, the Joors, the Emmersons, and many more. In fact, I seem to recall that Tricia Westbrook and I sang at one of your lunches or breakfasts in about 1967 or 68. I miss those days....great times.

Doc Prichard, So glad to see you recount so many memories of all the members of the Lions Club over the years. As a kid growing up in Corona, and with my Dad as a member of the club, I knew (personally) or knew of most of your membership. My dad was proud to be a member of the Lions Club, and talked about all you guys around the dinner table frequently. Growing up in Corona was special. I was sorry not to see my dad's name and a few comments about him in your history of members. He was a rogue kind of guy, but I believe he was a past president of the club. I'd love to hear your memories of him as well. Cris Hagen

Subject: Ducks, Trivia
"Ducks in a row" Or, Steve, does it mean flying ducks so aligned that one shot gets many. I was reared in Chesapeake Bay Country where hunting ducks can be a passion. AND we have yet to discuss the "Duckpin" of bowling. Jack

I wonder if the expression 'getting your ducks in a row,' came from about hanging pants in a closet or stacking them nicely in a drawer.
